Werrengue Palm Plate

The plate is made with the fiber of the werregue palm. The woven part is made with the spiral technique, using a cord or soul or gut, around which a thinner colored fiber is woven. The fibers are dried in the sun and the thin wires twist and shine by friction. polished wood insert for center. 8.25" in diameter and 2.25" high.
